John Keavey, President
John’s primary focus is client relationship management and candidate development. John began his career in placement over sixteen years ago, recruiting sales and marketing professionals in financial services, consumer products and telecommunications.
After spending a number of years with AT&T as a National Account Manager he entered the field of technology consulting as a sales manager for two regional firms. In these roles he forged relationships with a number of major financial firms. In 2005, he launched Career Connections as a talent recruiting firm with a focus on mid to upper level positions within Investment Management. John earned a BA from SUNY Albany and an MBA from Rutgers University.
Cara Sobieski, Recruiting Manager
Cara’s primary duties include managing key searches directly and overseeing the efforts of more junior recruiting staff. Cara has 14 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. She spent 10 of those years recruiting for executive level and experience hire positions. Cara has had experience tackling challenging recruiting assignments across multiple functions.
Cara began her career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She then took a recruiting role at KPMG where she handled high volume recruiting. Cara was then hired by Pfizer as a Senior Recruiter to help build their Strategic Staffing Group. She spent her last 3 years at Pfizer as a Human Resources Generalist. Cara joined Career Connections in 2008. She earned an undergraduate degree in accountancy from Villanova University.
Charissa Gallagher, Senior Recruiter
Charissa has 15 years of business experience in financial management, business planning and entrepreneurship. She began her career in business at Prudential in corporate planning and spent several years in Retail Operations at the fashion house Chanel. Charissa also founded and managed a women and children’s apparel store prior to entering the recruiting field. She joined Career Connections in 2010. Charissa earned a BA from Lafayette College in American Studies.
